Basic Format

Books

Author's last name, A. A. (Date). Title of book: Capital letter also for subtitle. Location: Publisher.

Journal Articles

Author's last name, A. A. (Date). Title of article. Journal Title, Volume number(Issue number), pages.

Website

Author's last name, A. A. (Date of Publication). Web Article Title (if applicable). Title of Web Site. Retreived date, from http://website.com

In-Text Citation

In-text citation consists mainly of the Author's name & date of publication. The purpose of in-text citations is to allow the reader to locate your citation in your Reference list.
 
If the name of the author appears in the text, cite only the year of publication in parentheses (example A).  Otherwise, place both the author's name and date of publication in parentheses, separated by a comma (example B).  If both the author and year appear in the text, do not include a parenthetical citation.

Example A: Jones (2008) described the global warming...
Example B: The global warming... (Jones, 2008)
