Starting university can be both exciting and challenging. Whether you are coming straight from high school or starting your academic journey later in life, this guide is here to help you navigate the transition. As a new student, you will encounter fresh opportunities, new skills to master, and academic challenges—but don’t worry, we are here to support you every step of the way.

Borrowing Library Materials

Library users must show a valid AUK ID card when borrowing materials. Library users can use the self-check kiosk to check their accounts, borrow, renew, and return items. Borrowers must ensure that all items are properly checked out to them before leaving the Library. for more details check our circulation policy. 

Printing, Photocopying and Scanning

Self-service printing, copying, and scanning are available in both floors of the library. Each student is entitled to a free photocopying balance of 250 pages per fall and spring, and 100 pages for the summer course. More helpful details available through this link!

Textbooks

Purchase your textbooks online from the AUKBOOkstore. Consult with your professors regarding course materials! The bookstore is located on campus in the ground floor of the administration building. You can stop by for physical books, stationary or AUK apparel. Your textbook might be available for free! Check this list of textbooks accessible through the library database Library eTextbooks

Library Facilities

Study Rooms: There are several rooms available for group study in the library. You can visit the reserves desk to book one.

Workstations with Internet Access: There are 56 computers in the library for student use – 28 on the ground floor and 28 on the first floor.

Wireless Internet Access: Wireless internet access is available at AUK library for free to all users using their own wireless-enabled laptops.

Library Hours

Library hours are adjusted during Final Exams periods and during Ramadan. These changes are posted at the front entrance. The library is closed on Public and University holidays throughout the year.
