UN Sustainable Development Goals

Endorsed by every nation within the United Nations in 2015, this framework outlines a collective strategy for fostering peace and prosperity worldwide, both presently and in the years ahead. Central to this framework are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which represent a pressing appeal for collaboration among all nations, regardless of their level of development, to address global challenges through a unified effort.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), also known as the Global Goals, demand an integrative and collaborative response to the wicked problems facing the world today. The 17 goals comprise:

  1. No poverty
  2. Zero hunger
  3. Good health and well-being
  4. Quality education
  5. Gender equality
  6. Clean water and sanitation
  7. Affordable clean technology
  8. Decent work and economic growth
  9. Industry, innovation, and infrastructure
  10. Reduced inequalities
  11. Sustainable cities and communities
  12. Responsible consumption and production
  13. Climate action
  14. Life below water
  15. Life on land
  16. Peace, justice, and strong institutions
