First Year Experience: Getting Started!

Your Library Account

Library users must show a valid AUK ID card when borrowing materials. Library users can use the self-check kiosk to check their accounts, borrow, renew, and return items. Borrowers must ensure that all items are properly checked out to them before leaving the Library. 


Study Rooms: There are several rooms available for group study in the library. You can visit the reserves desk to book one.

Work stations with Internet Access: There are 56 computers in the library for student use – 28 on the ground floor and 28 on the first floor.

Wireless Internet Access: Wireless internet access is available at AUK library for free to all users using their own wireless-enabled laptops.

Printing & Photocopying

Printing & Photocopying are situated on the ground and first floors of the AUK Library. A pin code is a code used to login to the photocopier. Get it from the Reserves desk. Your account will be loaded with 288 pages. It gets reset every semester.

Official Library Hours:

Sun – Thurs     8:00 am – 9:00 pm

Friday              Closed

Saturday          12 noon – 6:00 pm

Reserves Services

The Reserve collection contains required readings for students as well as copies of textbooks. However, textbooks can be used only inside the library. Headsets and calculators are also circulated at the Reserve Desk for a limited time during the day.

Mobile Application

The “AUK Library” mobile application is available in the App Store. It can be used to search for materials by author, title, or subject, in addition to a keyword search. It allows users to access their library accounts, to place holds, check fines and receive notifications, and view for suggested titles.
