Basic format

Books

Author's last name, First name. Title of Book. Publisher, Year of Publication.

Articles

Author(s). "Title of Article." Title of Journal, Volume, Issue,  Year, pages.

Website

Author's last name, First name (if available). "Title of Web Page or Article (if applicable)." Title of Web Site. Version or edition used.  Publisher if known (if unknown use N.p.), Date of Publication (Day Month Year, as available, if not available, use n.d.).  Medium. Date accessed (Day Month Year).

In-Text Citation

Basic Forms:

According to Stevens in his book Environmental Sciences, the global warming...(36).
(Page number only, when author/work cited is evident from context)

...In the book Environmental Sciences, global warming is... (Stevens 36).
(
Author and Page, when author work needs to be identified)

…global warming... (Stevens, Environmental Sciences 36).

Author and Title and Page, when work is not identified in text)
